And that’s how we came to team up with the business training department at RADA, the renowned school of dramatic arts.

We’re not superhuman. Challenges posed by our clients, or the situations we find ourselves in during tough change programmes, can be daunting. But we always strive to project confidence and maintain a positive outlook for our clients.

At RADA, we learned that regardless of how we feel, we must control our outward behaviours because that’s what clients see and react to.

How you walk into a room. How you stand. How you sit. The way you greet someone. How to project gravitas in a way that inspires rather than intimidates, while maintaining approachability and openness.

We learned to speak clearly and confidently, enunciating our vowels and consonants. We spent more time than we thought possible focusing on our breathing: how deeply we breathe, how quickly or slowly, and which part of our body we use to draw breath.

We also honed our consulting skills, like how to gain a deeper understanding of our clients’ problems without subjecting them to an interrogation. We learned when to hold back and fully grasp the client’s perspective before jumping in to solve a problem.

As you’d expect from the world’s leading drama school, the teachers at RADA are extraordinary. They are inspirational, deeply knowledgeable, and skilled in their craft.
